3 Pieces

PAINTING/MIXED MEDIA by Macey Fletcher, 12th grade

Macey Fletcher has grown up all her life doing artwork. When she was young, her love of horses sparked her interest in artwork, and she would spend hours practicing drawing horses in motion. She got the opportunity to work with the esteemed late Arni Anderson for four years, which honed her technical ability and her eye for composition. In the Heritage Hall upper school she developed an interest in drawing human emotions, often captured in pieces of animals such as sheep, cows, and deer. She is a member of the 2021-2022 Teen Arts Council, Scholastic Gold Medalist, and has participated in numerous art shows and sales, with the Oklahoma Arts Festival being the next one she will attend. Next year, she will be attending Oklahoma State University as a major in mechanical engineering to work on alternative energy in the future, but she hopes to keep art as a hobby.
